Development Approach

To ensure the best outcome for clients, we follow an iterative approached to system development.

The preparation of a project scope is the first phase of any development work. The main objective here to ensure requirements and expectations are clearly defined. The scope document will generally include an outline of system requirements, the technology that will be utilised, approach taken to develop the system, how the system will be implemented, and time and cost estimates.

Depending on the size of the project, we often split the development phase into smaller deliverables for your early feedback and validation of business and technical requirements. Often called an agile methodology, functionality is added in short succession, rather than having to wait until final completion for all functionality.

During implementation, we can provide training, online user guides (such as in HTML help format) and full system documentation if required for hand over to your operations staff. We can also provide ongoing maintenance and support services.

Platform

Our computing infrastructure means that you can completely outsource all development work to us, freeing you of the need to invest and configure in hardware and software and the on-going maintenance and support of such infrastructure.

However should you prefer that work be performed on your premises (Sydney area only), either partly or entirely, we can also provide our own equipment with all the software development tools required. Our server and desktop environment is primarily Windows based.

We use Microsoft Visual Studio and other software development tool sets. If you have a specific requirement to match your computing platform, contact us. All development work is backed up to Network Attached Storage by our managed data centre. For version control we use TFS, which allows us to manage all aspects of the software development life cycle and collaborate with our offshore development team.
